Average Los Angeles County Gas Price Drops for 22nd Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 22nd consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.873, its lowest amount since Sept. 25.

The average price has dropped 25.6 cents over the past 22 days, including 1.4 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 9.5 cents less than one week ago and 21.2 cents lower than a month ago, but 24.9 cents more than one year ago. The average price has risen 48.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 23rd consecutive day, decreasing 1.5 cents to $3.805, its lowest amount since Sept. 25. It has dropped 28.3 cents over the past 23 days, including 1.9 cents on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 10.4 cents less than a week ago and 23.5 cents lower than one month ago, but 23.3 cents more than a year ago. It has risen 45.6 cents since the start of the year.
