A small brush fire has erupted in some heavy brush in Rosemead near the intersection of Walnut Grove Ave and Rush Street.
The wildfire, which has been dubbed, the Walnut Fire, erupted just after 12 p.m. in the 8600 block of Rush Street in Rosemead. So far, about a half of an acre of medium to heavy brush has been burning, with multiple air assets dropping water on the blaze.
The Whittier Narrows Golf Course is under threat by the fire, but it has not been impacted.
