Last Friday, the autopsy of the 29-year-old Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs came out confirming he died of oxycodone, fentanyl and alcohol intoxication and essentially choked on his own vomit.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the investigation that is about to be done to determine if an Angel's employee had something to do with Skaggs coming into possession of these drugs could take years to find out and be worth tens of millions of dollars.
Both the Angels and the Skaggs have each gotten an attorney based in Texas to help with this case. Skaggs died on July 1, the first day of a team trip to play the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.
The Skaggs family's statement led Major League Baseball to launch their own investigation into the matter as well. Police in Southlake, Texas are also investigating the death.
Hopefully answers on how Skaggs got these drugs can be answered as soon as possible for his family's healing.
