Southland Gas Prices Drop to Lowest Amount Since March 26

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 21st consecutive day, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.583, its lowest amount since March 26.

The average price has dropped 11.7 cents over the past 21 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 14.4 cents lower than one month ago and 3.4 cents below what it was one year ago despite rising 19.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 22nd time in 23 days, decreasing a half-cent to $3.557, its lowest amount since March 26. It has dropped 11.7 cents over the past 23 days, including a half-cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 2.6 cents less than one week ago and 13.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 1 cent more than one year ago. It has risen 20.8 cents since the start of the year.
