A woman wanted for murder and her missing teen from Redondo Beach have been found together in Mexico. The LA County Sheriff’s Department says the woman, Maricela Mercado, and her ex-husband were apart of a fatal shooting in Carson this past April. The LA County sheriffs department says the two shot and killed a man in his car and then headed for the border The ex-husband was arrested in Mexico last month. Officials in that country found the mother and her 15-year-old, Alora Benitez, in Chihuahua, Mexico earlier this week. The daughter has been reported missing for more than three months. The mother has been taken into custody in Texas. The teen is safe and the FBI is now working to return her to California where she will live with relatives.
