Here's Who's Eligible to Receive Stars on Hollywood Walk of Fame

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Oscar winners Mahershala Ali and Spike Lee, along with the late comedian Andy Kaufman, rocker Billy Idol and iconic comic-book superhero Batman are among those newly chosen to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced today.

The Walk of Fame Class of 2020 includes a host of big-name celebs, including Julia Roberts, Octavia Spencer, Elvis Costello, Tanya Tucker and Alicia Keys.

The class members were chosen by the Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee. Being on the list makes the honorees eligible to receive a star, but it does not automatically ensure they will actually be immortalized on the walk.

People deemed eligible have two years to schedule -- and pay for -- a ceremony.

The members of the Class of 2020 are:

-- in the Motion Picture category: Mahershala Ali, Batman, Ruth E. Carter, Laurence Fishburne, Chris Hemsworth, Spike Lee, Julia Roberts, Octavia Spencer and Lina Wertmuller;

-- in the Television category: Christina Applegate, Andy Cohen, Cindy Crawford, Terry Crews, Harry Friedman, Kathie Lee Gifford, Nigel Lythgoe, Milo Ventimiglia, Burt Ward, Wendy Williams, Phil McGraw and Andy Kaufman;

-- in the Recording category: Elvis Costello, Sir Lucian Grainge, Billy Idol, Curtis ``50 Cent'' Jackson, Alicia Keys, Andy Madadian, Mo Ostin, Bobby Rydell, Alejandro Sanz, Tanya Tucker and Muddy Waters;

-- in the Live Theater/Live Performance category: Dave Chappelle and Billy Porter; and
