LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 44th consecutive day, falling 1.5 cents to $3.754, its lowest amount since April 3.
The average price has decreased 36.6 cents during the streak, including 1 cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 7.7 cents less than one week ago and 27.5 cents lower than one month ago, but 4.9 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price today dropped for the 24th consecutive day and 43rd time in the past 44 days, decreasing 1.7 cents to $3.701, its lowest amount since April 3. It has decreased 39.5 cents over the past 44 days, including nine-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
The Orange County average price is 8.2 cents less than one week ago and 29.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 3.7 cents more than one year ago.
