L.A. County Gas Prices Drop for 25th Straight Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 25th consecutive day today, falling 1.2 cents to $3.943 -- its lowest amount since April 9.

The average price has decreased 17.7 cents over the past 25 days, including one cent Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.7 cents less than one week ago and 18.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 18.2 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped 1.3 cents today to $3.913, also its lowest amount since April 9.

The Orange County average price is 5 cents less than one week ago and 18.9 cents lower than one month ago, but 18.7 cents higher than one year ago.
