Let's begin this by providing some context. Eddie Gallagher is being charged with war crimes including stabbing an injured person, shooting at noncombatants, and taking photos with corpses. One of Gallagher's alleged victims was around 15 years old

CNN reports that President Donald Trump is already considering pardoning him.

Also coming to his defense is a Republican congressman from California named Duncan Hunter.

So, how did Hunter defend Eddie Gallagher? He admitted to committing war crimes while he was in Fallujah, Iraq.

On an interview with Barstool Sports, Hunter claims that when he was in Iraq, he also killed noncombatants.

The actual quote is, "I was an artillery officer, and we fired hundreds of rounds into Fallujah, killed probably hundreds of civilians, if not scores, if not hundreds of civilians. Probably killed women and children, if there were any left in the city when we invaded. So do I get judged too?".

The obvious follow-up was to ask for specific instances to which Hunter talked about people being disturbed by how people were killed in war.

So did Duncan Hunter actually just admit to committing war crimes in Fallujah, Iraq? If only we knew someone who was there and could tell us his experience while serving.

Oh wait! We have Bryan Suits! Let's listen to his take below!
