CNN describes a new report has been released and it shows the awful conditions of the El Paso Del Norte Processing Center.

The center was built to hold 125 migrants. The inspector general says that as of May 8, there were around 900 detainees at the center.

This has lead to "standing room only conditions".

The report states, "We also observed detainees standing on toilets in the cells to make room and gain breathing space, thus limiting access to the toilets".

The report goes into detail about the unhygienic conditions detainees are subjected to due to this overcrowding.

This overcrowding is not just affecting migrants. Department of Homeland Security agents and managers are also feeling the effects.

More staff are either getting sick or fear the "immediate risk to health and safety". This has led to earlier retirements and agents trying to find work elsewhere.

The report offers a "multi-layered approach" to the problem which includes building more centers and providing additional support staff for the centers.
