MALIBU (CNS) - A $10,000 reward for information regarding a missing Colorado woman who suffers from depression, flew to Los Angeles and abandoned her rental car on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu was approved today by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
Supervisor Sheila Kuehl recommended the reward in hopes of finding 30- year-old Jennifer Michelle Lorber, who arrived in Los Angeles on Thursday and was last seen that night about 11 p.m. staying at a motel in the 22000 block of Pacific Coast Highway.
Her rental vehicle, a white 2018 Toyota Rav4, was found at 11:15 p.m. Saturday parked on Pacific Coast Highway at Paradise Cove Road.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has spearheaded multiple search operations using a search-and-rescue team, dogs, an air unit, marine rescue boat operators and help from county lifeguards and fire department personnel, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Investigators are in touch with Lorber's family and the search continues, Schrader said.
Kuehl said investigators believe that someone may have seen or heard something that could help, based on activity in or near Paradise Cove around the time Lorber went missing.
Lorber suffers from depression and her family told deputies they are concerned for her health.
She is white, 5 feet 1, 100 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes.
