Jayon Ramon Buggs has been charged in the double murder of Wendi Sue Miller and Darren Donald Partch in a Newport Beach apartment. However, upon further investigation, Buggs may not have wanted to stop there.
The Orange County Register reports that Miller's and Partch's bodies were found on April 21st by Partch's roommate. Last Monday, Buggs stood in court and did not enter a plea for the murders.
Once police gained a search warrant for Buggs' residence, Police Sergeant William Depweg stated, "I believe Buggs left (Partch's resident) and traveled to the city of Irvine to commit another violent crime".
He was spotted on the a balcony of a home in Irvine.
A witness said that Buggs was looking for someone who might have "been involved with his ex-girlfriend".
However, once he couldn't find the man he was looking for, he promptly left.
Buggs is being charged for a long list of felonies and misdemeanors including discharge of a gun at an inhabited dwelling, attempted first-degree burglary, possession of a firearm by a felon, a misdemeanor hit-and-run, and a special circumstance allegation of multiple murders.
This is not the first time Buggs has had a run-in with the law or stood before a judge.
Earlier this year, he has been in court for both being sued by his ex-girlfriend and suing his ex-girlfriend over domestic violence.
Back in 1995, he was charged with assaulting a San Diego police officer and was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in state prison in 1996.
For the current trouble he is in right now, he can be sentenced to a minimum life in prison and, due to the special circumstances murder, can be eligible for capital punishment.
