Los Angeles police have detained the suspected bike slasher terrorizing people as they walk around the city.
At a news conference Wednesday, authorities said they received hundreds of tips that Lenrey Briones,19, was the suspect in the images released by LAPD. Briones was detained early Wednesday in Watts. Authorities say they had probable cause to arrest Briones on suspicion of attempted homicide, the LA Times reports.
Briones is suspected of slashing at least nine people in L.A as he rode past them on a bicycle.
In the most recent attack, a woman needed 20 stitches after suffering a severe injury to the left side of her face and ear after being slashed. The man reportedly rode away on his bike laughing after the incident.
