Donald Harris Slams His Daughter For Playing Identity Politics

Professor Donald Harris, Kamala Harris' Jamaican father, is straying away from his assocation with his daughter and speaking out against her statements made on New York radio show The Breakfast Club. Kamala attributed her support for smoking marijuana to her Jamaqican heritage on the show last week, angering her father.

Professor Harris issued a statement to jamaicaglobalonline.com where he said:

"My dear departed grandmothers (whose extraordinary legacy I described in a recent essay on this website), as well as my deceased parents, must be turning in their grave right now to see their family's name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity being connected, in any way, jokingly or not with the fraudulent stereotype of a pot smoking joy seeker and in the pursuit of identity politics. Speaking for myself and my immediate Jamaican family, we wish to categorically dissociate ourselves from this travesty."

Kamala Harris, a 2020 presidential hopeful announced her support for the legalization of marijuana on the radio show, stating she has not only smoked but inhaled.

Which is funny because back when she was running for re-election in 2014, she was not in support of legalizing the recreational use of the plant. But now all of the sudden her Jamaican roots have so profoundly influenced her.
