Dems to Push Plan to Increase Social Security Benefits

If the Democrats have their way, Social Security may receive a major expansion in its benefits!

Introduced in both the House and Senate, the Social Security 2100 Act would be the first expansion of the federal program since 1972 and the first real change since 1983.

The New York Times says the bill seeks to increase the benefit output by two percent and will also add assurances that low-income workers would receive enough money to survive in retirement.
