Los Angeles County Gas Price Unchanged

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged today, remaining at $3.428, after dropping for five consecutive days.

The average price dropped 2.9 cents over the previous five days, including a half-cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The five-day streak of decreases came after the average price rose 3.6 cents in three days.

The average price is 2.7 cents less than one week ago and 20.7 cents lower than one month ago but 29.9 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 27.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped four-tenths of a cent to $3.379, the sixth consecutive decrease after a run of five increases in six days totaling 4.7 cents.

The average price has dropped 3.7 cents over the past six days, including two-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. It is 3.4 cents less than one week ago and 20.4 cents lower than one month ago but 29.4 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 26.3 cents since the start of the year.
