University Armed With Hockey Pucks to Stop School Shooters

When it comes to protecting the classroom from mass shooters, all options are on the table, no matter how unconventional they sound.

At Oakland University in Michigan, faculty members will now be armed with hockey pucks and receive training on how to use them against an assailant.

University Police Chief Mark Gordon got the idea from his real life saying;

"I was a hockey coach for my kids growing up. I remember getting hit in the head with a hockey puck once and it hurt."

The pucks will be a last resort, according to Gordon, who says running and hiding should be the first step in staying safe.

Meanwhile, the school is installing locks on the classroom doors.
