Baby Trump Balloon Takes Flight Over Downtown Los Angeles

The baby Trump balloon has taken flight next to the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles. The massive balloon depicts President Trump as an angry-looking baby wearing only a diaper and holding a cell phone.

The balloon made its west coast debut Friday morning outside the Los Angeles Convention center as part of Politicon's "Unconventional Political Convention" which is being held there this weekend. The annual, non-partisian political convention is held every year in Los Angeles, and features speakers from both sides of the aisle.

Politicon's founder Simon Sidi, says the display is there to help promote the convention.

"We wanted baby Trump here because it's part of the political landscape, and I think people are interested to come and see it," Sidi said.

However, some people who came down to see the balloon in person, weren't that impressed by the high-flying debut.

"In person it's a lot less impactful that what it looks like in pictures," one disappointed man told KFI's Andrew Mollenbeck.

"It's not as big as I thought he would be, but he has nice hair and his phone is a nice touch," another person said.

Traffic around the area where the baby balloon is set up is expected to be terrible. People who want to see the Trump baby balloon for themselves are being told not to stop on the roads to try and take a selfie.
