LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today to $3.619, its lowest amount since April 20.
The average price is 1.9 cents less than a week ago and 4.6 cents lower than one month ago but 61.2 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 46.9 cents since the start of the year.
The average price has dropped seven of the past eight days, decreasing 2.1 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $3.553, its lowest amount since April 12. It is 2.2 cents less than one week ago and 5.4 cents lower than one month ago but 56.8 cents higher than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has risen 43.7 cents since the start of the year. It has dropped eight consecutive days, decreasing 2.7 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
