HEMET (CNS) - A man suspected of fatally shooting an 18-year-old Hemet resident outside a home on the west end of the city was arrested today on suspicion of murder. Vincent Calderon, 22, of Hemet was taken into custody following an investigation into the July 13 attack that killed 18-year-old Sequoyah Gavin. Calderon was booked into the Hemet Jail, where he's being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Patrol officers arrived at the location within a few minutes of the attack and found the victim mortally wounded. He was pronounced dead by paramedics moments later.
