LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $3.674, the third consecutive slight increase.
The average price is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and 8.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 75.1 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 52.4 cents since the start of the year.
The average price rose two-tenths of a cent on Monday and three-tenths of a cent on Sunday. A 25-day streak of decreases totaling 9.4 cents ended Saturday when it was unchanged.
The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.618, one day after dropping one-tenth of a cent. It is 1 cent less than one week ago and 10.6 cents lower than one month ago, but 72.5 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 50.2 cents since the start of the year.
