LOS ANGELES (CNS) - ``Solo: A Star Wars Story'' was the most popular movie for the second straight week in North America, with an estimated $29.3 million through tonight, officials at Disney said.
That brought the Star Wars anthology movie to an 11-day total of $148.9 million in the United States and Canada. Add in worldwide ticket sales, and the movie was estimated with global cumulative sales of $264.2 million so far.
Some analysts have said that is low for a Star Wars movie.
The superhero semi-spoof ``Deadpool 2'' was on track for a $23.3 million dollar weekend, in its third weekend. It will have brought in $254.7 million worldwide through tonight.
A debut -- ``Adrift'' -- was estimated to arrive in third place with $11.5 million. The romantic drama is based on the true story of two people who sail directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history.
``Avengers: Infinity War'' was expected to draw in $10.4 million in this, its sixth weekend of exhibition. Its worldwide sales figure was just about to cross the $2 billion mark today.
Rounding out this weekend's top 10 movies, as tracked by comScore, were ``Book Club'' ($6.8 million), in its third weekend and has earned $47.317 million through Sunday, ``Upgrade'' (debuting at $4.5 million), ``Life Of The Party'' ($3.5 million), ``Breaking In'' ($2.8 million), ``Action Point'' (premiering with $2.3 million) and ``Overboard'' ($2 million).
