Hundreds of thousands are expected to pass through Los Angeles International Airport this weekend as people head out for their Memorial Day travel plans.
LAX officials say they anticipate nearly 950,000 people to pass through the airport between Friday and Monday. That's an increase of six percent over the same period last year.
The busiest day of travel is expected to be Friday, with an estimated 250,000 passengers and 117,000 cars expected to pick up and drop off travelers.
People who are scheduled to fly out of LAX this weekend are urged to arrive extra early and drivers should expect heavy traffic through the day.
