(Richard John Reynierse - Redondo Beach Police Department)
Last night Redondo Beach police arrested 44-year-old Richard John Reynierse, a transient who stabbed a man numerous times in the torso on a city bus.
The victim was sitting down, minding his own business, when Reynierse came up and attacked him for no reason. Reynierse took off after the stabbing, and it took about 45 minutes for police to locate him.
Sgt. Michael Martinez of the Redondo Beach Police Department said authorities are looking at surveillance video from the bus, as well as footage from the South Bay Galleria Mall.
The victim is recovering in the hospital.
