The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a swarm of eight small earthquakes that rattled residents in Danville Sunday. The first of the series was a magnitude 3.0 that struck at 10:34 a.m., followed by a magnitude 1.9 in the same area a minute later.
Five more smaller shakers were recorded between 10:37 and 11:41 a.m. and a sixth occurred at 3:25 p.m. that also registered as a 3.0. No damage or injuries have been reported.
