Southland Gas Prices Rise to Highest Amount Since August 2015

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose four-tenths of a cent today to $3.606, its highest amount since Aug. 27, 2015.

The average price has increased seven of the past eight days, rising 2.8 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.7 cents more than one week ago, 11.6 cents higher than one month ago and 55.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 45.6 cents since the start of the year.

The average price rose five consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent on Monday and resumed increasing on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.57, its highest amount since Aug. 26, 2015.

The Orange County average price has increased seven of the past eight days, rising 3.2 cents, including one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 2.3 cents more than one week ago, 11.9 cents higher than one month ago and 53.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 45.4 cents since the start of the year.
