LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.577, its highest amount since Aug. 29, 2015.
The average price has risen 31 of the past 32 days, increasing 15.5 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on both Wednesday and Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price rose 28 consecutive days, was unchanged Tuesday and resumed increasing Wednesday.
The average price is 1.1 cents more than one week ago, 15.3 cents higher than one month ago and 55.4 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 42.7 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $3.538, its highest amount since Aug. 28, 2015.

``The normal spring season upward price pressure continues, but luckily so far this year it has not resulted in an extreme price spike that Southern California often experiences during this season,'' said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
