Comedian, actor, and author Louie Anderson is here in-studio with Gary!
Louie won an Emmy Award in 2016 (and was nominated again in 2017) for his work as Christine Baskets on Zach Galifianakis' show on FX, Baskets.
Louie channels his late mother, Ora Zella Anderson, in this character, and does his best to keep his mom up-to-date on everything that she missed in his life in his book Hey Mom: Stories For My Mother, But You Can Read Them Too.
The book is composed of letters that he has written to his mother, telling her stories about about his struggles with food, breaking into the stand-up comedy world, coming to peace with his family's past, and so much more.
