Los Alamitos May Be Setting a Trend of Sanctuary Opt Out

Los Alamitos in Orange County is hoping to pave the way for other cities and counties to exempt themselves from the Sanctuary City laws. Other cities like Aliso Viejo and Buena Park are taking up the same cause announcing they also plan to pursue similar versions of the anti-sanctuary laws. 

“There’s a pretty good amount of cities interested and they want to know about the process,” said Los Alamitos Mayor Troy Edgar, who spent Tuesday fielding calls and e-mails from officials in other cities and others interested in the push.
