L.A. County Average Gas Price Rises For 10th Consecutive Day

 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 10th consecutive day, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.464.

The average price has increased 4.2 cents over the past 10 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 3.1 cents more than one week ago, 3.6 cents higher than one month ago and 40.8 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 31.4 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price resumed increasing Thursday, also rising three-tenths of a cent to $3.424, one day after an eight-day streak of increases ended when it was unchanged.

The Orange County average price is 2.5 cents more than one week ago, 3.5 cents higher than one month ago and 38.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 30.8 cents since the start of the year.
