According to the NY Times, the relatives of three US citizens killed in drone strikes, including Anwar al-Awlaki, have decided not to appeal the dismissal of a lawsuit they filed against the Obama administration.
The lawsuit was seeking damages for the deaths from two drone strikes in Yemen in 2011. The other two that were killed were Samir Khan and Awlaki’s teenage son, Abdulrahman al-Awlaki.
Nasser al-Awlaki, the father of Mr. Awlaki, said he dropped the appeal because he lost faith in the American courts.
