10 illegal aliens die after being smuggled in hot semi truck

10 illegal aliens have died after being smuggled in the back of a stifling hot semi truck. Driver James Matthew Bradley Jr. was charged today with one count of transporting illegal aliens.

If convicted Bradley could get life in prison or death, a $250,000 fine, and 3 years of supervised release.

Yesterday morning Bradley's smuggling operation came to an end when emergency responders found dozens of people suffering from the heat in the back of his semi-trailer at a Walmart in San Antonio.

8 people were dead at the scene. 1 more died during the day at a San Antonio hospital, and another died in a hospital this morning. All of the deceased were adult males.

Acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Thomas Homan said there might have been more than 100 people in the truck. Only 38 were found inside the trailer, and 1 other was found in a nearby wooded area. The rest of the people left the scene.
