Assemblyman Travis Allen (R-Huntington Beach) is keeping the fight going against the car and the gas tax.
He's trying to get signatures for a repeal, but before he can do that he needs to get the title and summary of his initiative straightened out. It's all been approved, but it's been muddied quite a bit.
Shady Attorney General Xavier Becerra came up with this nonsense summary:
“Eliminates Independent Office of Audits and Investigations, which is responsible for ensuring accountability in the use of revenue for transportation projects.”
“We’re going to challenge it in Superior Court. Gov. Brown’s attorney general has issued a misleading title and summary."
It's a repeal of the gas tax, plain and simple. But the Democrats will do whatever it takes to screw over taxpayers and get their way.
