A Cashier Free Store May Be Heading To Your Town Soon

Cashier-free stores are coming to a city near you, well kind of. Amazon has launched a new business that is devoted to selling its cashier-free system that the company uses at its Amazon Go stores.

Currently, the technology has only been implemented at Amazon owned locations but that is about to change. There are less than 24 stores in the United States currently in operation. But that could change with the launch of this new business venture.

How exactly does Amazons system work?

According to Amazon:

"When you arrive, use the app to enter the store, then feel free to put your phone away—you don’t need it to shop. Then just browse and shop like you would at any other store. Once you’re done shopping, you’re on your way. No lines, no checkout."

This Cashier-less system can help make brick and mortar retailers more efficient. With the availability of this new technology, there is no doubt that the brick and mortar landscape will continue evolving .
