SHLS - Has the First Space Crime Been Committed?

Anne McClain is an astronaut and is unfortunately going through a very difficult divorce.

What makes things worse is that this divorce may have led to the first "space crime".

CBS reports that Summer Worden, McClain's estranged wife is accusing her of accessing her bank account while she was on the International Space Station.

During a year-long divorce, Worden grew suspicious of McClain because McClain knew a lot about her spending.

It was then discovered that McClain had logged onto Worden's bank account on a device that was on the International Space Station allegedly to gain leverage in the custody battle that the two were in over Worden's son. McClain admits that she logged in, but it wasn't to gain leverage. It was just to check on the finances.

McClain defended herself by making the following Tweet:

Her lawyer made a statement saying:

"She strenuously denies that she did anything improper".

Although NASA "does not comment on personal or personnel matters", they did say this:

"Lt. Col. Anne McClain has an accomplished military career, flew combat missions in Iraq and is one of NASA's top astronauts. She did a great job on her most recent NASA mission aboard the International Space Station."
