Understandably, people are apprehensive about flying on a Boeing plane since the recent crash in Ethiopia.
Most airlines abroad have grounded their Boeing 737 Max 8 planes, but two major US airlines are still allowing them to fly.
To comfort fliers, Southwest Airlines assures passengers that all 34 of their Max 8 planes are completely safe... but if you are still nervous you can re-book on a different plane without penalty.
“While we are not issuing refunds of non-refundable fares, we are working with concerned customers individually who wish to rebook their flight to another aircraft type. As a courtesy, Southwest will waive the fare difference.”
The other major US airline, United Airlines says their passenger's safety is first priority and will help those who are uncomfortable find alternatives.
