A month long multi-agency investigation has culminated with the arrests of six people believed to have been smuggling methamphetamine into a San Mateo County jail.  Corrections officers found letters and cards addressed to female inmates at the Maple Street Jail that had been dipped in liquid meth.

The San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force and the sheriff's department's Corrections Division joined forces to put a stop to the activities and served multiple search warrants in Burlingame, Daly City, and San Francisco that resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and several thousand dollars.  A Daly City man is facing drug charges and five female inmates were re-arrested on multiple charges as well.  Four additional suspects are still being sought.
