Footage shows mob fatally beating American tourist on Greek Island

Surveillance footage has been released showing the moment American college graduate Bakari Henderson was brutally beaten by a mob outside of a bar on a Greek Island.

The video shows 22-year-old Henderson running down the street before a group of about a dozen men catch up to him and attack him.

Henderson had just graduated from the University of Arizona and was visiting Greece with some friends. He was beaten for about 30 seconds before being left unconscious on the ground.

About 5 minutes later, paramedics arrived and took him away on a stretcher.

So far 9 men have been arrested and charged with intentional homicide.  Greek police spokesman Theodore Chronopoulos says Henderson got into a heated confrontation involving other bar customers and two employees after he asked to take a selfie with a waitress.

One of the suspects, a 33-year-old Serbian man, started arguing with the waitress over the selfie and hit Henderson, who then hit a beer bottle on the other customer's table.

This contradicts what Henderson's friends said happened, though. One of his pals told CBS News that Henderson and another friend sat their drinks down on a table of strangers, which pissed off two attackers.

Whatever happened, this guy did not deserve to die.
