Too Much Traffic at Dodger Stadium? Blame Waze

Pittsburgh Pirates v Los Angeles Dodgers

The L.A. City Transportation Committee has passed a motion that would look into the issues surrounding Dodger Stadium traffic on game days. The motion says locals are complaining about traffic on residential streets, despite the state's Department of Transportation traffic plan for Dodger Stadium. Where's all this extra traffic coming from? Apps like Waze and Google Maps that help commuters find a faster route.

The City Transportation Committee says those phone apps are making things worse by telling people to avoid the crowded main streets.

The motion calls for road closures at ten different residential intersections beginning two hours before each home game.
