That suspect being sought near Eighth and Santee streets in downtown Los Angeles has been taken into custody, according to police.
The LAPD has responded to a residential building in downtown Los Angeles where a man armed with a gun has been reported wandering the building.
Police say they responded to the 800 block of Santee Street where officials say the armed suspect was on the rooftop at one point, but later reentered the building.
Streets around the area have been closed due to police activity.
