FBI Releases Photos of the 9/11 Attack on Pentagon

The FBI has released photos of the aftermath of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon.

The new photos show the fragments of the hijacked plane, scorched walls and the first responders at work.

Twenty-seven photos in total were uploaded to the FBI's site under the page "9/11 Attacks and Investigation Images".

Other images show, the flames and other bits of debris that litter the facility where the jet hit the building, killing 184 innocent victims.

Experts at the time said that as devastating as the losses were, it was luck that the plane hit where it did.

The portion that was struck was under construction and compared to other sections was relatively empty.

Had the renovations been finished, the death toll would have been exponentially higher.
