Wake Up Call welcomes Megan Klink, VP of Susan G. Komen West Region, to talk about the 2023 MORE THAN PINK Walk.

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, Susan G. Komen, the world's leading breast cancer organization, will hold the annual MORE THAN PINK Walk at Exposition Park for the first time. This event brings together thousands of individuals, including family and friends, to celebrate breast cancer survivors, remember those who have passed away from the disease, and raise important funds for research and support services that benefit breast cancer patients. These services include financial assistance, diagnostics, screening, patient navigation services, and research.

"We are thrilled to have the community join us for the MORE THAN PINK Walk this year to support our fight against breast cancer in our community,"

said Yolanda Van Dyke, Executive Director for Los Angeles Susan G. Komen.

"Continuing to provide support to individuals who are battling breast cancer in our community is critical to our mission, and it is clear that our services are needed as the demand increases."

Breast cancer survivors and individuals living with metastatic disease, caregivers, family members, and loved ones will register at Exposition Park at 7:30 a.m. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Walk at 9 a.m.
