Today, President Joe Biden is getting ready to make a powerful display of unity by joining the picketing United Auto Workers and taking a stance with them.

The President publicly announced on Friday his intention to travel to Wayne County, Michigan, where he will represent the administration's support for the striking workers, through a statement on a specific platform.

This action is being described by many experts as an unprecedented occurrence in contemporary political history. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre conveyed this assessment "He supports the UAW workers and what you're going to see is historic.”

She added, "He is standing with the workers. We are not involved in negotiations. That is something for them to decide what is going to work for the parties that are involved, but he is standing with the auto workers."
