Meet Pasadena Humane's Pets of the Week: Hermie and Doodalina

Let's meet this week's Pets of the Week: Hermie and Doodalina!

These two are just a couple of the many animals Pasadena Humane helps and cares for.

If you'd like to help them, check out our page HERE to explain how the big charity walk we do every year helps support these wonderful animals!

Hermie (A504518)

Hermie is a testament to those who have had a rough start but can turn things around. This older guy was found wandering the streets and looking very worse-for-wear. He was underweight and he had a wound on his nose. He also had an ear infection and was even missing some teeth. This poor old guy needed some TLC. Thankfully, the veterinary team at Pasadena Humane was able to diagnose and treat some of his ailments. The wound on his nose has now healed, his ear infection has been treated, and we know why he was underweight; he has a thyroid condition that can be treated with daily medication.

Hermie is now feeling much better, and ready for his forever home. He is an incredibly sweet boy, and at a young 10 years old, still has plenty of love to give. He immediately jumps up to meet everyone who comes by, and we know this guy will light up his new home with his positive energy!

The adoption fee for cats is $100. Hermie is eligible for our Seniors for Seniors program, so his adoption fee is waived for any adopter over 60 years old. All cat adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet. View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment at pasadenahumane.org. Adoptions are by appointment only, and new adoption appointments are available every Sunday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email.

Doodalina (A504687)

Doodalina is a 1-year-old spayed Doberman Pinscher mix who is full of fun! Her unique name comes from her silly smile that made us think she is an artistic doodle come to life. We love how she happily bounces around the play yard, tossing toys in the air, investigating every bit of fuzz she can find and generally acting like a rambunctious puppy, which of course, she is. Doodalina weighs about 65 pounds but is likely still growing. She knows a couple of commands and seems ready and willing to learn more (as long as that bit of fuzz doesn’t distract her).

The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.
