New State Bill to Allow Oregon Students to Take "Mental Health Days"

Numerous studies have come out about how young people are under more and more pressure every day so the state of Oregon has agreed to what may be a great solution and the first of its kind.

A bill was passed that would allow students to take "mental health days" where students can have up to five excused absences in a three month period.

Students behind the measure say it's meant to change the stigma around mental health in a state that has some of the highest suicide rates in the country.
