Hold on to Your Mouse Ears, Disneyland Resort is Raising Prices

Disneyland resort has raised its prices by as much as 18% over the weekend.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the daily tickets vary, depending on the daily demand.

A one-day, one-park adult ticket for Disneyland or California Adventure remains $97 for low-demand days, such as weekdays in May.

A ticket for regular-demand days is $117, up from $110. The price of a ticket on peak-demand days is $135, up from $124.

The price of a one-day park hopper for low-demand days, which lets visitors hop between the two parks, goes down, from $157 to $147.

This price change comes months before the park planned to unveil its remake of its boardwalk-themed area in California Adventure.

The remake will feature characters in Pixar movies and will be named Pixar Pier; the makeover is expected to be done by summer 2018.

In response to the price change, Disney issued a statement:

"We know how important making memories at Disney theme parks is to our guests and we will continue to evolve our pricing in a way that gives them a range of options to meet their budget and helps better spread attendance throughout the year so they can make the most of every visit."
