Ghost Burglar Surveillance Video Released

The Los Angeles Police Department has released footage of the "ghost burglar", a serial burglar who has hit up dozens of stores in the San Fernando Valley.

The suspect most recently hit the Franklin's Hardware on Ventura Boulevard, this time with footage capturing a close up look of his face.

Authorities describe him as being an Asian man in his 20s between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall.

Until now, no one has seen him in person, and while he has been spotted on other security cams this is the first time police were able to get a good look at his face.

LAPD Detective Daniel Wheat says the burglar has been so hard to catch because he is extremely careful.

"He's very aware of his surroundings and he's very careful to make sure that the coast is clear before he breaks in. Then, he is in and out very quickly."

If you have any information about the suspect, contact Detective Amber Kim of the Topanga Detective Division at (818) 756-5844.
