Google has been ordered to shell out a whopping $700 million due to its employment of dubious strategies within its Google Play app store.
The accusations pointed fingers at the tech giant for resorting to unfair practices that aimed to inflate prices and rake in larger commissions.
While the figure of $700 million may initially appear substantial, the individual reimbursements for eligible customers are rather modest, hovering around "at least $2." This amount is contingent upon their expenditure within the Play store, spanning from August 2016 to September 2023.
Eligible customers are set to be informed about the process of claiming their share of the settlement.
