Delta Air Lines has disclosed the termination of a co-pilot, Jonathan J. Dunn, who was accused of making threats to the captain during a flight in August 2022.
This revelation was made on Wednesday. Dunn's dismissal occurred nearly two weeks after he was indicted for allegedly interfering with a flight crew, according to prosecutors.
Additionally, federal authorities have revoked Dunn's authorization to carry a firearm on flights, in accordance with the directives of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The allegations against Dunn pertain to an incident where he reportedly brandished a firearm and threatened the captain during a dispute regarding a diversion of the plane to attend to a sick passenger, as detailed by the Transportation Department.
