Burt Young, the actor most notably recognized for his remarkable contributions to the "Rocky" film series, has sadly passed away, leaving a void that can hardly be filled. Young rose to prominence through his portrayal of the beloved character Paulie, who not only served as Rocky Balboa's closest confidant but also his brother-in-law in a grand total of six "Rocky" films.
At the age of 15, Young made the unconventional decision to depart from the conventional education system, opting instead to dedicate a portion of his life to the noble service of the Marines, a commitment he wholeheartedly embraced from 1957 to 1959. His journey later led him to embark on the path of thespian pursuit, as he delved into the rigorous training offered at the renowned Actors Studio.
In a heartfelt homage shared via the medium of Instagram, Young's esteemed co-star Sylvester Stallone penned a tribute that resonated with deep emotion: “To my dear friend, Burt Young, you were an incredible man’s and artist, I and the World will miss you very much.”
